The last of it!

We’ve been home for a few days now, but I still have all of my pictures from last week’s adventure to show you!  First, we went to Paris.

I’m all ready to take the chunnel to Paris!

This is me on the train.

We’re here!  It was a little bit foggy, but the Eiffel Tower was still impressive.

Here’s me at the Louvre.  I wanted to be a part of the art.

The Louvre Pyramid

I even saw the Mona Lisa!  She’s small like me.

The Inverted Pyramid

This is me up on the Eiffel Tower!  It was cold and rainy, but the view was still spectacular.

So that was a little bit from our stay in Paris.  Katie and Dad took a day to go to Normandy, but I stayed in Paris and explored a little on my own.  I even made a friend!  See?

Then we took the chunnel back to London and stayed there for a few days.  We had to pick up all the luggage we left, which was a lot.

Katie may have packed a little too much…

We’re at the Tower of London.  Hehe.  Luckily, I made it out safe and sound.

This is me in the gift shop.  I know what I want for Christmas…

Some downtime in the coffee shop.  I found that the espresso cups were just right for me!

This is the Tower Bridge all lit up at night.

And the London Eye.  We took a ride in it and saw the whole city!

The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are behind me.  I had to lean over the railing of the bridge and it was scary.

When we were in London, we saw all the big sights, did some shopping, and Katie and Dad even went to the Absolut IceBar, where everything is made of ice!  That was too cold for me, so I didn’t go, but we had a great time.  Hopefully, I can go back!

I’ve become such a good traveller.  I read my book and watched movies, and that nine hour flight home felt like nothing!  Anyway, it’s good to be home for Christmas, but I had lots of fun on all my adventures.  I hope you all liked seeing them too!

Packing

Packing’s tough.  Katie and I had a blast with Dad yesterday and everyone in the house thinks he’s super cool, but today we have to get down to the nitty gritty.  I’m trying to help Katie with the rest of our packing, so I’m doing laundry!

It’s sad though.  I’ve had a blast here and saying goodbye to everyone is tough.  Hopefully they don’t forget about me =(

Papa’s here!

Dad came to visit today!  Katie got done with her tutorials on Wednesday night, so she’s just been enjoying her last bits of Oxford before she leaves.  We’re all going to Paris on Sunday, then to Normandy, back to London, and finally home on the 12th.  I loved being away and having this great adventure, but it’ll nice to be home for Christmas.  I do love Christmas.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll have a computer, so this might be the last post until I get back.  Don’t worry though—-I’ll have tons to report back on, so stay tuned!

Katie saw the Queen!

The queen came to Oxford yesterday for the reopening of the Ashmolean Museum and Brasenose College’s Quincentenary (that means it’s been around for 500 years!).  Katie’s crazy tutor is in Brasenose and had lunch with her!

Katie had lots of work to do, so she camped out in the Radcliffe Camera right across the street and joined the crowd around the window to see her leave the college and get into her car.  And she got pictures!

There she is!  Neat!

To the Cotswolds!

Last Friday, we made a little roadtrip to the Codswolds, which is a group of small towns in England with some really pretty countryside.  It was the first time a lot of us had been in a car, so that was neat too.  Katie and David both rented cars and piled everyone in.  Katie drove a car!  On the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right!  She said it was pretty scary, but we all ended up okay.  Traffic circles are stupid though.  And the road signs are confusing.  Anyway, here are some pictures!

This is me in the car.  Katie was driving, so Jamie took this one—-Look at Katie in the reflection!

All of us piled into our little Vauxhall

I drove some too!

Pretty countryside

This was our first stop at Bibery for some yummy hot chocolate.

Also in Bibery—-it was quite “posh”

more countryside

Stow on the Wold—-this is the door at St. James Church that inspired Tolkein’s entrance to Moria in Lord of the Rings

And for old times’ sake.  Katie knows how much I like jumping.

Oxford Sights

The other day when Lisa was still here, me and Katie took her around a little bit of Oxford.  We went to see the Divinity School (where they filmed part of Harry Potter) and the Bodleian Library, and then we climbed up the tower of the old University Church, where you can see evvvverrryyything in Oxford.

Here’s the Divinity School.  It’s the infirmary in Sorcerer’s Stone and also the hall for dancing lessons in Goblet of Fire.

Climbing the stairs was hard for a wee bunny like me, so I had to take a break.

Look at everything!

My arms got tired, so Katie gave me a boost.

Thanksgiving in Oxford

Hello everyone!  So the English obviously don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but we did it up right here.  Thanksgiving at 104 Banbury was excellent!  Everyone made their favorite recipes from home, and the university gave us a decent sized budget to work with, so it was like the all-star Thanksgiving feast here tonight.  Bunches of people brought guests too, so we had about fifty people here eating and having fun.  I even got to help cook the food.  Here, look!  (I don’t have any pictures of me feasting, because my belly got pretty jolly.  It was all delicious though.)

It was also Lisa’s last night, which was sad, but we took a good nap together earlier, so I can’t complain too much.  Thanks for coming Lisa!  Tell Eugene I said “hi” and that I miss him!

Tomorrow’s Thanksgiving!

Katie’s been gone so long!  She and Lisa went to London for a few nights and then to Dublin for a few days, so she’s been gone since last Friday morning.  She said it was lots of fun and that she’ll put pictures up soon!  I’ve missed her a lot, but now she’s back, so we have lots of catching up to do (so I don’t have a lot of time on here).  I’ll let you know what she tells me later tonight, so look out for pictures and stories!

And stay tuned tomorrow, because everyone at 104 Banbury is cooking a huge Thanksgiving feast, and I’ll be there!  And Lisa’ll be there!  Yayyyyy!

She’s back!

Katie’s back!  She was gone for four whole days (too many for me) and she tells me she had a really great time.  So Amsterdam is the place where anything goes, but she said it gets a bad wrap.  Sure, there’s the prostitution thing, and there are lots of drugs, but hey, they’re really into promoting “soft drugs” as a way to battle “hard drugs.”  Hats off to them.  We bunnies don’t do anything like either of those, so no worries.

It’s really pretty though.  There are canals that go through the whole city and all the buildings are very quaint and cute; there are lots of trees and the fall colors are perfect.  Plus, the food stands are really good–we’re talking perfect Dutch fries with mayonnaise and chocolate covered waffles everywhere (like the picture below).  They even had all their Christmas decorations up and an ice skating rink in the middle of town that only plays Michael Jackson.  Katie went to the Van Gogh museum, the Anne Frank house, Vondelpark, and the Heineken Experience.

Here, look!

All in all, good trip.  Katie was sick with a cold when she left, and it was kind of rainy and cold for most of the time, but Katie said it was alright.  Also, the roads are pretty confusing.  Since there aren’t really any curbs and the sidewalk, bike path, and road are all made of the same brick, it’s confusing.  All road?  None road?  She almost got in a few collusions.

Anyway, more pictures are up in the MobileMe gallery.
